As you have been aware, the photo gallery has been experiencing technical difficulties for several weeks.  We are please to announce that the photo gallery is back online and is ready to start accepting photos from various contributors.  Should you wish to share you photos of Yokota Fil-Am events, please register for access and logon to our site.  After you logon, you will see this screen:

Select the button named FlaGallery.

The screen will refresh with a very simple user interface.  You can add as many photos as you would like, but please use discretion as to what gets uploaded. Inappropriate content, as defined as, content not in keeping with the ideals of the Yokota Fil-Am association will be removed without warning.

Yokota Fil-Am Site Upgrades Complete

Thank you for your patience over the last month and a half as we worked to expand the capabilities of your site to new levels.  Yokota Fil-Am has successfully completed a migration of capabilities to include a custom Google Mail applications, Google Docs (a SharePoint like service), and Google Calendar.  Members, current on their club dues are eligible to receive a your_name_here@yokotafilam.com e-mail address and access to these other exciting services.  To get access today, contact support@rh-webs.net with your information.

Balikbayan Pickup Date Announced

The next Balikbayan pickup will be on April 6’th.  Please contact our current sponsored representative at balikbayan@yokotafilam.com.  She will contact you at her earliest convenience to schedule a pickup and or provide additional information.

Update – FilAm Easter Meeting–4 April 2010

FilAm Family,

 Join us for our next monthly potluck meeting on Easter Sunday ( 4 Apr 2010 at the Sakura Shell pavilion starting at 1200 noon). East Side across from the base theatre.  We have the Easter Egg hunt for the children and bouncy castle.   Also for the gimmick of the month, best dish and best dessert  wins a prize.  Try to beat the Fil-Am officers entry, Hamburgers and Hotdogs and maybe chicken wings (Our grill master Ferdi Raymundo will show off his BBQ skills).  We will need help with setup and the BBQ.  So I’m calling the other grill masters out there to show up at  1030 so we can fire up the grill and may the best hamburger or hotdog win.  E-mail salvador.leonido@yokota.af.mil 

Other gimmicks will be prize giveaways for the adults (Japanese souvenir sets) either drawing or through games (Hep hep, Hooray).   Also ABS-CBN might be showing a movie.  I will confirm the title.

 2.       Orphanage Picnic  (moved to 8 May 2010)  -  We only have 20 families that volunteered to sponsor children.  We need more.  Verify list at the meeting.

 5.       4th of July scavenger hunt volunteers.
